So about 12 years ago….

I bought a small flat .5 miles from the Costa Brava coast in Catalunya. It is part of a large building of 30 flats and is near the medieval town of Begur. It has a kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom, a sitting room with couches that could serve also as beds and a patio area. The flat shares a lovely garden and communal swimming pool, and the nearest beach is a short walk away. The surrounding area is exquisite, not too far from Girona and 1.5 hour drive/train ride from Barcelona. Most mod cons are there including washer/drier and a small A/C heating unit, and reasonable wifi. It is a simple flat, not a lot of frills but I find it perfect for a getaway in one of my favorite parts of the world.

To be able to maintain the ever increasing community costs and basic utilities, I rent the flat through an agency called PCI in the peak summer season - late June through early September. You are welcome to contact them directly for dates at that time and you will get a 50 euro discount for any stay one week or over if you tell the owner, Louisa, you found out about the flat on this page/through me. Louisa will take great care of you!

This is the
availability and booking link for summer and any other times: https://www.pci-holidays.com/availability.asp?propid=941
This link will give you more
photos and more info about the flat: https://www.pci-holidays.com/property.asp?propID=941&origDate=00:00:00&country=

It is also necessary to rent the flat at other times -which I consider much more preferable! eg April/May/Oct- and we get few bookings through the agency at these other times; the fees are much lower at off season times.
