Feet as Foundation and Source

  • Grace Hudson Meeting Room, 431 S Main St Ukiah CA 95482 United States (map)

Our feet are our physical connection with the earth as we stand and walk, and are also our roots into a sense of belonging and inner stability. Back problems, hip and knee and sacral issues, balance challenges…. can often be related to imbalances in the way that we use our feet and conversely, the feet can be pathways to unravel some of these typical challenges, that human bipeds face.
Join us for an exploration into the potential of the feet and ankles with simple static and fluid movements, breath-work, fun asana poses - passive and active, and reflection. Your feet will feel alive, spacious and your whole body massaged from the toes up!

Suitable for a wide variety of practitioner from those with a minimum of 6 months experience in yoga to teachers. Options will be given to those not practicing more advanced poses.
Props: Bring a blanket (and bolster + block if you have them), along with a yoga mat and bare feet!
