This day of yoga will begin by finding the center of the star, the deep abdominal area or core through breath, imagery and simple movements. For most of us, the core is a place of confusion, an area of our body which we either neglect or overly control and this practice will bring awareness and vitality to an under-respected and highly intelligent matrix from which all movement can arise. We often let our limb movements dominate our interior body. By exploring popular standing poses like tricky trikonasana! from the starfish perspective, we can support our hips and sacral area and find freedom and ease in the upper body. This will in turn help support the shoulder area in backbends, inversions and twists. Join us for a full day of practice and investigation!
10.45am – 1.15pm Active Asana Practice with emphasis on supporting hips and shoulders from the core. Options given to those not doing inversions or deeper backbends.
2-3pm Seeing and Understanding Bodies – Looking at individual poses and issues that arise and using simple partner positions and adjustments to encourage a yoga that radiates from the center out.
3-4pm Quiet Practice - to encourage softness within and without.
Fee: Full day 90/80 if registered by 2/24. Participants are encouraged to attend the whole day if at all possible. Am only 55/65 Pm only 45/55
