How can one avoid a relationship with our hamstrings?! If you are a couch potato, they tighten up, if you are an athlete they also tighten up. And if you are a total noodle you have the opposite problem, which is that you have no tone in the hamstrings. All situations can lead to achey hips, back problems and a general lack of joie de vivre!
Yoga can be extremely helpful in finding ways to work with your hamstrings and hips, free the breath in the lower pelvic area and bring a more balanced posture and consequently a more balanced relationship to these dear pesky muscles.
