Starfish Yoga - Moving from Core to Extremity

For most of us, the core is a place of confusion, an area of our body which we either neglect or overly control and this practice will bring awareness and vitality to an under-respected and highly intelligent matrix from which all movement can arise.  By exploring popular standing poses like tricky trikonasana! from the starfish perspective, we can support our hips and sacral area and find freedom and ease in the upper body.  This will in turn help support the shoulder area in backbends, inversions and twists.    Join us for a full day of practice and investigation!

A Day of Yoga in Kent

A special day of practice in a very unique setting.  Join us for a long active yoga practice in the am, share some refreshments and discussion in the garden or around the pool at lunchtime and then return to a quieter practice in the afternoon.   This day is for a small group of 10 students who want to revitalise and relax in good company and in the delights of the Kentish countryside.

Special Restorative Practice- Benefit for Yoga for Veterans Project

Join us for a gentle, restorative practice for everyone at SoBo in Boonville.    This class will include some simple stretching movements and then longer supported poses to help us all truly rest and revitalize ourselves as we move into the dark time of year.   

This class is a benefit for Veterans Yoga Project, an organization that brings yoga to veterans all over the country.  Every year at this time of year, many yoga studios and teachers offer classes where all donations will go directly to this project.  

No need to register, just show up and bring 2 regular bed pillows with you and comfortable clothing to do these simple relaxing positions.  No need for prior experience.  Advisable not to eat close to class time.    

Pay whatever you want for the class ($5 -50 and beyond!)    All checks will be written to Veterans Yoga Project.   If you cannot come, consider leaving a check at SoBo or sending one in to this helpful organization.   

If there is interest in Restoratives, we may try and keep a class going through the winter months at SoBo on Friday afternoons.
