Join Mary for this very special annual retreat, perfect for committed practitioners and teachers to enjoy long asana and meditation sessions, deep quiet and the support of community

Mary’s teachings weave Buddhist philosophy, poetic imagery and the muse of nature to support the individual unfolding of asana, pranayama and meditation. The schedule will be held partly in silence and participants will have the option to attend 6-7 hours per day of scheduled sessions.

There will be time to relax in the secluded, serene environment of Shambhala Ranch, which lies in the heart of Mendocino County near hot springs and redwoods. Traci Joy Burleigh will provide nourishing balanced cuisine, suited to the practice and inward journey.

Terms and Conditions: The 200.00 deposit is non-refundable. If you have an emergency situation, a refund may be available for the balance until 5/1/13. After this time, you may be able to transfer your place to someone else you select but you will need to notify Lin of any changes. No refunds otherwise.

Car Pool: There will be a list of participants that will go out prior to workshop for those of you in Bay Area and locally who would like to carpool. Remember Orr Hot Springs and Montgomery Woods are on the way!

The Mendocino Coast is about 45 minutes from Shambhala Ranch.

Daily Proposed Schedule (subject to change!)

Sunday
3.00pm - YBE participants only meet for Conference Call
4.30pm - Everyone else arrives. If you are not a YBE participant, please do not arrive before 4.30pm!
5.30pm - Yoga

7.00pm - Dinner
8.00pm - Introductions, discussion around taking refuge in silence, Meditation
Silence begins after meditation

Monday–Thursday
Silence will be maintained until lunchtime on Monday and will continue until dinner on other days depending on group

7.00am - Pranayama and Meditation

8.15am - Breakfast

9.30am - Silent Meditation

10.00am - Intro poem/theme/Q&A followed by walking meditation

10.30am - Asana - Active

1.00pm - Lunch
Free time to rest, hot tub, longer sitting periods

4.00pm - Optional Meditation
4.30pm - Asana - Quiet - sometimes with some simple partner work (morning practice will usually not have partner work to maintain quiet)
6.00pm - Meditation

7.00pm - Dinner

8.15pm - Optional events some evenings. This could include a selected dhamma talk/dvd + discussion, mandala practice, community chat about practice or teaching issues, discussion on broader theme of safety and refuge
